Following are some Plein Air paintings done on location in my area.

This is a rather small late barn probably built after 1900 over in Fulton County. You can tell it
is a late barn by its small size and the horizontal siding on the main barn. The daffodills in the
foreground probably mark the old drive or walk to the the house which is long since gone. The
flowers linger for years after the people have gone and are often the only indication of
abandoned homesites. It is painted in oil on a on a canvas board. The painting measures
8x10 inches and is priced at $75.00. Sorry this piece has been sold.

This one is another one from the Fulton county side of the County Line road which runs
between Fulton and Kosciusko counties. This was a small shop type building from a farm
and is all that is left. Again you can see flowers in the foreground that might have been near
the house as there is a large soft maple tree standing just out of view of the painting but
casting the shadows coming in from the right side. This might have even been a blacksmith
shop as there are indications it had a chimney up its north side. The small row of windows
made me think of some type of chicken housing but they face east not south as would have
been found on a building from this time. This is 8x10 as well and is oil on a canvas board
and is priced at $85. It is availible for purchase.

This one is of a nice large barn that is being let go, hate to see it but where I am no one wants
these big barns any more. Small building off of the north end there was no doubt the milkhouse
where they kept it for pickup. This one is a big barn, probably 70 feet long and 40 wide. Leanto
milkhouse were later additions probably right about WWII time period. Oil on canvas board
8x10 inches $75.00. This one is availible for purchase.
