Finally getting some carvings up on the site! It has been a very busy year so far! Here are some Christmas carvings all hand carved from Basswood and painted using acrylic paints. I will be adding more variety as the year goes by so please stop back and take another look.

Saint Nicholas. This figure is about 11 inches tall, carved from basswood and painted with acrylic colors. Saint Nick is holding a nice little tree and all dressed up for Christmas. This one part of a small Christmas collection I will be offering this year of carvings from my bench.

This is unique peice for sure! It would make the center peice for any Christmas grouping! At the very top is Santa with his beard blowing in the wind. As we come down there is a whimsical globe to indicate where he has been or needs to go with nicely detailed feathers and arrow pointing the way. The very base has the first letter of each direction carved into it on each side. It is all hand carved from basswood and painted with acrylic paints. It was intended for those looking for that unique large item to really set off the holiday decorating season. This Santa Claus "Weathervane" stands about 24 inches tall and is about 20 inches wide.
