Icelandic Wool and Handspun Wool Yarn

The Iron Ram offers the highest quality Icelandic wool rovings. We monitor our flock's grazing and health closely as well as provide free mineral mixed with kelp which makes their fleece silkier, shinier and much softer. These rovings are perfect for both knitting and felting.

Wool Rovings

Since Icelandic Sheep come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, there are generally a wide variety of rovings to choose from although quantities may be limited. The rovings below are 100% Icelandic wool roving. Soon, along with 100% Icelandic wool roving, we will have Icelandic/llama 50/50 blend rovings. Check back periodically for updates on our offerings!

Hand Spun Wool Yarn

These yarns are two ply and spun using a spinning wheel therefore, it has more character than store bought yarns, because it may include snubs or spots that are a little thicker or thiner. This just adds to the beautiful homespun quality of the yarn!
